DYSONS Salvia Nurseries
Salvia Specialists

Dysons Salvia Nurseries - The Nursery to buy Salvias - either by visit or online (Mail order).  The Nursery has one of the largest Salvia collections of any Salvia Nurseries in the UK, and most of the Salvias grown at the nurseries can also be seen growing in the Garden at Great Comp Garden - Kent.

As well as just growing salvias at the nursery, we have raised a number of new Salvia cultivars. Among them being Salvia forreri ‘Karen Dyson’ : Salvia ‘Silas Dyson’ : Others we have raised include  'Creme Caramel' 'Stephanie' and 'Valerie'

Salvia x jamensis ‘Dysons’ Orange Pinkwas named after us by Joke Van Der Meer who holds a National Collection of New World speciesWe are always looking to increase our stock of old faithful varieties of salvias, but we are also working hard to produce and introduce new Salvia cultivars and strains.

Salvias are becoming increasingly popular because of their showiness for many months of the year, and increasingly because of their tolerance to dry conditions. Together with this it is possible to have Salvias in flower for most of the growing season. They can be seen in flower from as early as April/May right through to the hard frosts. Salvias with some flower are not too hard to find on Christmas Day even.

Our salvias bear little resemblance to the annual bedding Salvia plants, though of course all salvias belong to the same family. Most of our Salvias are hardy unless otherwise stated, and they can be left outside in the perennial borders, in containers, and almost anywhere in the garden throughout the whole year.
